CMMS Spring Dance!!!

Our Spring Dance is THIS FRIDAY, March 28th, 6-8 pm in the school cafeteria. Tickets are $5 and will be on sale tomorrow and Friday. All school obligations must be paid in full and no 1’s in conduct. Limited tickets available and no tickets will be sold at the door. ID’s must be worn to the dance. PTSA will be selling pizza, sno-cones, candy, soda and water. Our awesome DJ will be there playing your favorite tunes!!

We are in great need of volunteers to assist us with set up beginning at 5 pm, selling treats & goodies and chaperoning the dance and, finally, clean up (8:00 to 8:30 pm). If you are available to help for any length of time or know of a high school student in need of volunteer hours, please email us at [email protected].  As always, we thank you for your continued support!

Our Spring Box Tops for Education Spring Contest is over! A big “congratulations” to Ms. Gregorchik’s class for collecting the most box tops! They did a terrific job and earned themselves a Dunkin’ Donuts party. As the winning teacher, Ms. Gregorchik won a $20 gift card. Save those box tops over the summer. Our Fall contest will get underway shortly after the start of the new 2014-15 school year. Every single box tops count…please support CMMS by asking your family & friends to clip those box tops!!!

SHOPAROO??  What in the heck is Shoparoo, you ask?

At the beginning of this school year, CMMS PTSA “hopped” with both feet into a new, easy, year-long fundraising event for our school…SHOPAROO!!!    Shoparoo has to be the easiest fundraiser there is!!  It takes less than 5 minutes to install the app on you phone and to begin taking pictures of your receipts.  All you need is your name and email address, no other personal information is required.  Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Friends…anyone who shops can submit their receipt with a quick picture and help CMMS earn funds for our school!  Any store that sells grocery products is eligible.  Shoparoo is not limited to certain stores, products or brands. Grocery shop as you regularly would, and you’ll earn money for your school every time.  Publix, Winn-Dixie, Walgreen’s, CVS, the list goes on and on! Please visit SHOPAROO.COM for more details!

Unfortunately, out of almost 1,150 families, only 20 people have signed up so far.  This small (but mighty) band of shoppers is still earning Roo points to raise money for CMMS, but just imagine if the whole Challenger family hops on board???  Consider signing up today and support our school!!  Thanks so much!!  :)

S.A.D.D. Club

Please help Ms. Wendy and the CMMS SADD Club by donating something for a sick child at Palm Beach Children’s Hospital.  Some of the items that would make a child happy are:   DVD’s (“G” or “PG” rated), Video Games, (rated for “Everyone”), Playdough, Crayola Crayons, Barbie Dolls, Hot Wheels or MatchBox Cars, Rattles, Coloring Books, iTunes cards.  Together we can make a difference.  All donations should be dropped off in Student Services. 

WENDY’S NIGHT!!!   Monday, March 10th, from 4 – 8 pm

Please support PTSA and have dinner at the newly remodeled Wendy’s!   PTSA will be holding our General Meeting at Wendy’s from 5:30 to 6:00 pm.  Also, the SAC meeting will now follow, beginning at 6:00 pm.  Be sure to bring your CMMS flyer so that PTSA can received 15% of all sales.  Order inside or at the Drive Thru.  You have to eat anyways (to borrow a line from Mr. Silverman), so join us at Wendy’s on Monday after school and get those bellies filled.  Your support is appreciated, as always!!

 

Book Fair Starts on 03/06 and runs through 03/13.  Volunteers are needed daily next week, 03/10 (Monday) through 03/13 (Thursday).  Help our Media Center staff and assist our students at the Scholastic Book Fair. We are asking for volunteers to be cashiers, keep displays neat and to help our students enjoy the Book Fair ! We hope to have a minimum of 2 helpers per shift.
