This year’s CMMS PTSA membership drive is still in full swing.  As of today, we have just surpassed last year’s membership totals!  Please help us reach those who have not yet signed up… both parents & teachers.  PTSA memberships are only $8 and include a CMMS school calendar.  As an extra incentive for parents to join, the first “Day 2, Period 2” class to reach 100% membership by October 11th will win a pizza party!

ENJOY THE CITY COUPON BOOK FUNDRAISER

This week we will announce the Enjoy the City Coupon Book top 5 sellers and those students who sold 10+ books!!  Every single book sold helps CMMS and we thank you for your support.  **NOTE** If your student still has not returned their unsold Enjoy the City Coupon Book to their teacher, it’s not too late.  Unfortunately any coupon books not returned will be marked on the student’s “obligations” list.  All unsold coupon books need to be returned to the vendor or else that money comes directly out of our pocket :(  So please, take a moment to make sure all unsold books have been returned to the school.  Thanks for your cooperation!!

Target’s Take Charge of Education Program

Calling all Target shoppers…
Did you know that CMMS is involved in the Take Charge of Education program with Target Red Card???  As your new PTSA Board, this was brought to our attention by our Box Tops guru, Suzanne Nicolini.
Basically, anyone with the Target Red Card can sign up for their school to get 1% of their purchase totals.   To date, CMMS has earned $11,442.42 through 2013.  That amount earned is only having 39 parents registered on the site.  Parents need to sign onto the Target Red Card site and go to the Take Charge of Education link.  Please make sure your Target Red Card is registered with Christa McAuliffe Middle School (our school ID # is 41724).   Except for a few minutes of your time, it costs our parents nothing to register!!  CMMS automatically gets the money every time our parents use their Target Red Card.   All fundraising should be this simple!!
This is a wonderful, quick & easy fundraiser for CMMS.   With the holidays just around the corner, CMMS would receive quite a bit money in a short amount of time.  If you have a Target Red Card, please consider registering it and help out our school!  Your support is always appreciated!!

Box Tops For Education

PTSA’s Fall Box Tops for Education contest is now underway!  Help CMMS earn cash for our school by clipping 10¢ Box Tops from hundreds of products.  For those who like to shop online, there are now more than 300 online retailers so you can earn eBoxTops® for CMMS when you shop.  Parents need to sign on to:  http://www.boxtops4education.com/all-about-boxtops.  Select the “earn online” option at the top and follow the prompts.  Our zip code is 33472, select our school (CMMS) and again follow the prompts.  It’s that easy…

The 1st period class with the most eligible Box Tops turned in by Tuesday, October 15th, will earn a Dunkin Donuts party and the teacher will also receive a $20 Cinemark Movie gift certificate.  Place your Box Tops in a Ziploc bag marked with your student’s 1st period teacher & PTSA.  All Box Tops expiration date must be visible.  Expired Box Tops will be disqualified. Bonus Box Tops will be accepted as face value.  For additional information about the Box Tops For Education program please visit the website referenced above.

A special “thank you” to Suzanne Nicolini for overseeing our Box Tops For Education campaign this school year!!
